Police Arrest 2 After Shots Fired In Neighborhood

FERNDALE, Mich. — Two people were arrested on Thursday after police responded to a 911 call about shots being fired in a Ferndale neighborhood.

Police said when they arrived, the suspect fled on foot toward Eight Mile Road and Woodward Avenue.

Police said the search for the man led them to a house, where they knocked on the door seeking entry. Police said a woman opened the door and at first refused to let authorities in, but eventually did.

Police said they found the man hiding inside a dryer. Both the suspect and the woman were taken into police custody.

Police said no one was hurt.

“We do know that there were shots fired in the residential neighborhood and we responded, and that’s how it all came out,” said Capt. Timothy Collins. “It may have been a felonious assault; it may have been an attempted robbery. We’re still working on that aspect of it.”

Collins also told Local 4 that since the suspect had already been taken into custody, a reason for the shooting may have already been established but that he would not know until he got back to the station.

Westland nigger gets prison in killing

A Westland man was sentenced Monday to 22 1/2 to 50 years for stabbing to death a man he claims made a racial slur after he refused to let him take a drag off a cigarette.

Wayne County Circuit Judge Timothy Kenny sentenced Christopher Long, 18, for the Aug. 19 death of Gerald Dean Jr., 45, of Dearborn, who was doing drywall work at the County Court Apartments in Westland where Long lived.

Long, who is black, was found guilty of second-degree murder July 3 for killing Dean, a white man. (If the races were reversed do you think we would have heard about this?)

In his statement to police, Long said he encountered one of his roommates, Bernard Whitfield, 25, talking to Dean. Whitfield asked Long for a cigarette but he didn’t have one.

He left them to bum a cigarette for Whitfield off a neighbor and returned and shared hits off it with Whitfield. Dean asked for a hit but Long refused.

According to Long’s statement, Dean then used a racial epithet.

Long said he went back to his apartment and got a knife. Long’s attorney, Steven Scharg, argued that his client was innocent and that a witness said one of Long’s roommates confessed to another man that he killed Dean.

Police: 3 People Shot To Death

DETROIT — Three people were found shot to death in a car on Detroit’s east side Sunday, according to police.

Police said the victims were two men ages 25 and 28 and a 17-year-old woman.

Witnesses told police the trio was inside a bar drinking before the shooting happened.

Police believe there may have been a dispute inside the bar that spilled outside.

They were still searching for suspects Sunday.

WNBA Suspends 10 Players, Mahorn For Skirmish

NEW YORK — It was a WNBA smackdown Thursday, when the league suspended Detroit Shock assistant coach Rick Mahorn and 10 players for their roles in a skirmish with the Los Angeles Sparks earlier this week.

Shock forward Plenette Pierson was suspended Thursday for four games, the harshest penalty, for initiating and escalating the altercation.

“As a team, we’re incensed that Rick Mahorn was suspended,” Detroit coach Bill Laimbeer said in a telephone interview from Houston, where the Shock were scheduled to play the Comets. “He was trying to be a peacemaker and now he’s being thrown under the bus.”

Players suspended for one game included: Detroit’s Kara Braxton, Tasha Humphrey, Elaine Powell and Sheri Sam along with Los Angeles’ Lisa Leslie, Candace Parker and DeLisha Milton-Jones.

15-Year-Old Scores Perfect On ACT

Has there ever been a nigger with a perfect act or sat score, please let me know if there has been one. If this kid were black the media would make him a fucking national hero. A week ago I posted this story which was featured in the freepress about a nig that had been accepted into 7 major colleges including yale and princeton, 5 of those schools had offered to pay full tuition and he had won 10 scholarships. This nigger had just a 3.8 gpa and they never even stated what his sat and act scores were (leading me to believe they were less than impressive).

The free press doesn’t even have a single article about the young man below….

In a way they prove our point for us. Niggers cannot compete with whites intellectually and therefore the media must highlight the slightly above average niggers and suppress the intellectual superiority of Whites to perpetuate the lie of equality.

WATERFORD, Mich. — Michael Lively, 15, of Waterford Kettering High School, scored a perfect score of 36 on the ACT.

He took the test after he completed his 10th grade and a nearly perfect score on the ACT’s pretest the PLAN.

Lively is ranked the No. 1 student in his class of 405 students, holds a GPA of 4.12 on a 4.0 scale and scored a 5 on both the Advanced Placement Language and Composition and Advanced Placement United States History exams.

He also plays the cello in the Chamber and Symphony Orchestras at Kettering. Lively is nearly deaf and uses a wireless microphone system and hearing aids. (Is it possible that his lack of hearing has made it so that he hasn’t absorbed most off the bullshit pushed by public schools?)

Lively has not made a decision about his career but is interested in music, physics and mathematics.

Wayne sheriff: Officer says Kilpatrick gave him ’significant’ shove

Where would you or I be if we shoved a cop?  The answer is: you’d be handcuffed and escorted to jail immediately.

Detroit Mayor Kwame Kilpatrick was involved in a physical altercation today with two law enforcement officers assigned to Prosecutor Kym Worthy as they attempted to serve Bobby Ferguson, the mayor’s friend, with a subpoena, sources have told the Free Press.

One of Worthy’s investigators and a Wayne County Sheriff’s deputy went to serve Ferguson with the subpoena when they encountered the mayor.

“The officer alleges that the mayor pushed him with significant force to make him bounce into the prosecutor’s investigator,” Wayne County Sheriff Warren Evans said at a press conference this evening. “We will investigate into the evening and who knows what goes from here. We don’t know at this point exactly what we have.”

Evans said he will ask the State Police to investigate the matter.

Police Nab 6 Carjacking Suspects After Car, Foot ChasePolice have six people in custody after a carjacking and chase that started in Dearborn and ended in Detroit.

Dearborn police said the suspects assaulted a driver in Dearborn on Walnut Street before taking off in the vehicle.

Police said the victim did not sustain any serious injuries but a condition could not be confirmed.

According to police, the vehicle was spotted going northbound on the Southfield Freeway a short time later.

After a short car chase, the six people ditched the car and ran away, scattering in the area of Mansfield Street and McNichols Road in Detroit.

Families in the area were surprised by the incident.

“I heard some yelling outside. I said, ‘Is somebody out there arguing?’” said Trequan Tidwell, who was in his kitchen at the time. “I came outside and the police were like, ‘Get on the ground.’ They frisk me down and all that.”

Police said Tidwell, unknowingly, had walked into the end of the police foot chase involving officers from Detroit, Dearborn and Michigan State Police troopers.

Dearborn police said the six people, all teenagers, were running through back yards and jumping fences.

Another neighbor, identified only as Theron, said he saw the teens.

Theron added, “Before I could make it to the side door, police ran up and put the gun to me and my son-in-law, and asked us who we were.”

According to police, the six people taken into custody were identified only as three boys and three girls.

“Detroit was right there with us, and the state police and our undercover guys,” said Lt. Mark Tobias of the Dearborn Police Department. “It was a good team effort.”

One Killed, One Injured in Gunfight

DETROIT  –  One teenager is dead and another critically injured after an argument turns into a gunfight.

The shooting happened just after midnight on July 18 at the American Serbian Memorial Hall in Detroit.

Police say 15-year-old Marcell Sims was killed and 17-year-old William Nicholson is in critical condition.

However, the two teenagers weren’t the only victims.  A nearby senior apartment complex also caught some stray bullets.

One woman was paralyzed with fear, but she and her husband were unhurt.

Police are still looking for the shooter.

Irate council ejects Adams, then votes down tunnel deal

Detroit’s beleaguered city government exploded today when the council threw out Deputy Mayor Anthony Adams after a heated verbal confrontation between him and Councilwoman Sheila Cockrel over the proposed Detroit-Windsor Tunnel deal and benched a development proposal after receiving an unsigned letter accusing Mayor Kwame Kilpatrick’s father of participating in it.

Mich. Talks Homeland Security With Israeli Police

Michigan Attorney General Mike Cox hosted a conference Thursday that brought more than 200 law enforcement leaders together to meet with members of the Israeli National Police to discuss security issues.

Homeland security issues regarding the Detroit-Windsor tunnel were expected to be discussed.The meeting was one in a series of exchanges between American and Israeli law security agencies. It is also the first one ever to be held in Michigan.

Detroit Obama Campaign Office Burglarized

DETROIT — A temporary office in Detroit being used by the campaign of Democratic presidential candidate Barack Obama has been burglarized.

Michigan campaign spokesman Brent Colburn says personal electronics, including some mobile phones and a laptop, were taken early Saturday. But Colburn says they didn’t contain campaign information.

Colburn says it’s believed the burglary was random, since an adjacent office also was burglarized.

An estimated value of the items taken wasn’t immediately available.

The building is the old Clay School building, at 453 Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard.

Teen Accused of Violent Attacks

Police in Pontiac are going door to door in search of a suspected predator.  They’re looking for 17-year-old Dominique Mayes.  They say he has attacked one of his victims more than once.

Authorities believe he is responsible for two violent home invasions.  An elderly couple was attacked and an elderly woman raped.  All the victims were bound with duct tape.

He came in with an accomplice with a mask on, tied them up with duct tape… and stole money from them, then stole their vehicle, said Sergeant James Martinez.

Mayes has a criminal record.  He served time in jail for breaking into the same woman’s house that he is accused of raping.
