Nathaniel Abraham, released from jail last year after being the youngest person in Michigan to be convicted of murder at the age of 11, is back in jail this morning.
Undercover officers were working surveillance at about 1 a.m. in the neighborhood where there had been three separate armed robberies recently, when one of them witnessed what appeared to be a drug sale between Abraham and a man on a bicycle.

When officers recovered a purple Crown Royal liquor bag, they found inside 254 individual tablets of the street drug ecstasy. Police said the pills typically sell on the street for between $10 and $30 each. Abraham was arrested without incident, and the vehicle, which did have a flat, was impounded. They expect to arraign him this afternoon on drug charges in Pontiac District Court.

Abraham was released from juvenile incarceration for the murder charge in January of last year after turning 21 and vowed to turn his life around. He recently recorded a rap record.

DETROIT — Police were called to a fight outside Detroit’s Osborn High School Wednesday morning that resulted in the suspension and arrest of some students and parents.
Police said the fight started between students, who then called their parents to break up the fight. The parents ended up becoming involved in the argument as well.
A Detroit Public Schools officer was hurt, but his injuries are not life-threatening, according to police.
Police are still investigating the cause of the fight, and it is unknown whether or not any criminal charges will be filed.

Here’s what it fucking looks like now just a couple days later, the satellite dish survived. One of the regular commenters on this blog lives down the street from this house. He said that the firefighters showed up 2 different times the night this house burned down. Apparently the first attempt was a dud so they had to come back and try again. Needless to say they succeeded the second time.

Negro drags 11 year old girl into abandoned house and rapes her.
DETROIT — A homeless man charged with pulling an 11-year-old girl into an abandoned duplex in Detroit and raping her had to be separated from other prisoners, for his own safety once they learned he was facing a charge of first-degree criminal sexual conduct in the little girl’s rape, police said.
Kevin Bernard Meredith, 47, was arraigned Monday at the 50th District Court and is being held on a $100,000 cash bond.
The alleged attack happened on Sunday, May 18, as the victim left her aunt’s house and was on her way to play at a park near the corner of Edison and Chamberlain streets. Police said that’s when Meredith grabbed her wrist and pulled her into the abandoned duplex at 82 Edison Street.
The girl told police he raped her in an empty bedroom. She was able to escape and ran back to her aunts, where they called 911. The victim gave police a detailed and emotional account of the attack, said police.
She was taken to an area hospital while officers went to the scene of the alleged crime.
Police found Meredith in one of the bedrooms of the duplex. A witness told police she saw Meredith take the 11-year-old into the duplex earlier in the day for about five to 10 minutes.
The victim positively identified Meredith as her attacker and he was taken into custody.
Police discovered Meredith had four warrants out for his arrest on misdemeanor charges of failing to appear in court.
Of course they won’t tell us the races of the victim or the suspects but we can assume. The woman sounds white on the phone with the 911 operator. The suspects had guns, drugs and pitbulls in their home and they also drove a cadillac. One of the kidnappers names is Jamal.
YPSILANTI TOWNSHIP, Mich. — Two people have been arraigned in connection with an alleged abduction in Ann Arbor.
A 25-year-old woman told police she was abducted from a shopping center in the 800 block of Eisenhower Parkway around 10 p.m. Sunday.
The woman said a man she recently met approached her and punched her in the face and took her to a home and tied her up with duct tape.
Police went to the home based on a 911 call from the victim.
“I need help,” the victim whispered to a 911 operator.
She said she was able to knock over a phone off the table to call for help.
At one point, the victim said she was so afraid her abductors would hear her she had to hang up. The operator convinced her to remain on the phone.
Police said that upon arrival, the deputies looked in the window and saw the woman tied up. Ten deputies forced open the door and rescued the woman.
The deputies were attacked by a pit bull, which was shot and killed.
Two people were asleep in the bedroom when police arrived. They were both taken into police custody.
Michele Leigh Baisden, 29, was arraigned on Tuesday for unlawful imprisonment, conspiracy to commit unlawful imprisonment and assault and battery.
Jamal Turner, 35, of Van Buren Township, was arraigned for unlawful imprisonment, conspiracy to commit unlawful imprisonment, felonious assault and felony firearm.
DETROIT — Detroit Mayor Kwame Kilpatrick’s attorney faced some harsh words from 36th District Judge Ronald Giles after the mayor failed to appeared a hearing Monday morning.
Kilpatrick told the court on Saturday that he was going to Texas that night on city business. The mayor is still out of town, but his lawyer, James C. Thomas, refused to disclose details to the court.
That prompted some annoyance in Giles.
“I don’t care if he’s meeting with the president,” Giles said. “He is to be here.”
The reason for the court hearing in the first place is a bit of a mystery, as well. Lawyers on both sides would not reveal why they were meeting in the judge’s chambers Monday morning.

Detroit Public Schools Facing $45-Million Deficit
Detroit Public Schools are in crisis again. The district is facing a $45-million budget shortfall. FOX 2’s Taryn Asher is in Detroit with more on what this means for the struggling district.

Firefighter’s Son Arrested for Arson
A suspected arsonist is off the streets tonight. But as Fox 2’s Jason Carr shows us, a father and son may now be on opposite sides of the law.
Yesterday, after work, me and a co-worker decided to take a little trip right around the corner from our job and get a few photos as an example of a typical Detroit neighborhood. Here they are.
We started off at the crack house for sale. Click on the picture to see that you could buy this house for $500 down and $350 a month. The only problem with the place is that all the windows are broken out and there’s no front door. There’s also a serious crackhead infestation you’d have to live with.
Kitty Korner to the crackhouse for sale was the ghetto treehouse. The third step up was made out of the front of a dresser drawer. While we were taking this picture we saw goldreefah riding down the sidewalk on his bike.
A little further down the road we stopped to take a gander at this typical Detroit Garage. Got some grass clippings? Got some stained carpeting? Got an old chair? Got an old nasty mattress?…..

DETROIT — A Detroit public school had to be closed today after school officials walked in this morning and found the school had been vandalized.
Custodians have spent the day cleaning Phoenix Multicultural Academy, a K-8 school in Southwest Detroit. The school is expected to reopen for class Tuesday, said district spokesman Steve Wasko.
The damage is unknown, but the vandalism was extensive, Wasko said. Glass was broken inside the school, items were pulled from shelves, a metal detector was knocked over, graffiti covered some areas and the cafeteria was sprayed by a fire extinguisher. The areas hit hardest were the main office, cafeteria, gymnasium and 12 classrooms, he said.
